Ingredients
  

  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • 1.5 cups walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 400°F. In a medium-sized bowl, beat eggs, sugar, dark corn syrup, flour, butter, and vanilla together. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • Arrange walnuts on top of pie batter.
  • Bake in the lower rack of the oven for 15 minutes. Then reduce oven temperature to 350°F and bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until the center is set.

Notes

Perfect Doneness Guide: Slight jiggle in center when gently shaken; edges should be set but not dark brown; will continue to set as it cools; internal temperature should reach 200°F.
