Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix (0.87-ounce)
  • 1 packet au jus mix (1-ounce)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package wide egg noodles (12-ounce)

Instructions
 

  • In the crock of a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker, stir together the meat, gravy mix, au jus mix, and water. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Serve the beef and gravy over the noodles.

Notes

For consistency, I prefer the McCormick Brown Gravy Mix and McCormick Au Jus Mix. Concerned about the sodium level? Opt for reduced sodium gravy and au jus mix. If the gravy is too thin, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold broth or water in a small bowl. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker. Cover and increase the heat to high for about 20 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
