Dry Ingredients
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 0.25 cup whole milk
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons red food coloring
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
Pancake Preparation
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
In a large measuring cup, combine eggs, whole milk, buttermilk, vanilla extract, vinegar, and red food coloring; whisk until blended.
Fold wet ingredients into dry mixture until just combined.
Gently stir in melted butter.
Preheat a non-stick skillet over low heat; pour in ⅓ cup batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top; flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
