Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons red food coloring
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted

Instructions
 

Pancake Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large measuring cup, combine eggs, whole milk, buttermilk, vanilla extract, vinegar, and red food coloring; whisk until blended.
  • Fold wet ingredients into dry mixture until just combined.
  • Gently stir in melted butter.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet over low heat; pour in ⅓ cup batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top; flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes.

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • For the cream cheese frosting, blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and whole milk until smooth.

Serving

  • Serve pancakes stacked high with butter, syrup, or cream cheese frosting.
