Tilapia

  • 4 fillets Tilapia 6 oz each
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Lemon butter sauce

  • 0.5 cup Salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice from 1 lemon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder

Cooking Instructions

  • Pat the fish fillets completely dry with paper towels, then season both sides with garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2 minutes.
  • Add the tilapia fillets in a single layer and sear for 3-4 minutes until the edges are opaque. Flip and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes until cooked through.
  • Remove the fish from the pan and cover tightly with foil to keep warm.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. In the same pan, make the lemon butter sauce.
  • Drizzle a little lemon butter sauce over each serving plate, then place the pan seared tilapia fillets over the sauce and drizzle more sauce on top.

Notes

Serving size: 1 tilapia fillet with 2 tablespoons of lemon butter sauce. Tips for achieving crispy tilapia fillets and even cooking are available in the recipe tips section. Store in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
