  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced any color

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Cooking Steps

  • In a large skillet or pan, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced sausage to the pan and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onion and diced bell peppers. Sauté for another 3-5 minutes until the vegetables soften.
  • Stir in the rice, ensuring it gets coated with the flavors from the sausage and vegetables.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine all ingredients evenly.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and has absorbed the liquid.
  • After cooking, remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
