Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Fillings

  • 8 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions
 

Cooking Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter. Whisk until well blended.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just mixed; do not over-mix.
  • Fold in the chopped bacon and shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed in the batter.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
  • Pour a tablespoon of batter onto the skillet for each bite. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Continue until all the batter is used, greasing the skillet as needed.
  • Transfer the cooked McGriddle Bites to a serving platter and keep warm until ready to serve.

Notes

These McGriddle Bites make for an excellent breakfast or snack, perfect for serving with maple syrup.
