Ingredients
  

For the casserole

  • 12 ounces King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1.5 cups 2% milk
  • 0.25 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 0.5 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the topping

  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cups brown sugar
  • 0.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter cold

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350º Fahrenheit. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. Slice the rolls into 1" cubes. Place the bread evenly in the prepared pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Whisk until the eggs are broken up and well combined with the other ingredients. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread.
  • Place the topping ingredients in a medium bowl. Use a pastry cutter or two knives to cut the butter into the topping until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the streusel over the casserole.
  • Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 20 minutes covered. Then uncover and bake an additional 25 minutes or until the center is set.
  • Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with fresh berries. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

If you only have unsalted butter, add a dash of salt to the topping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Make ahead instructions: Prepare the casserole, then cover and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, remove the casserole 1 hour before baking. Then bake as the recipe states.
