Orzo and Base

  • 1 cup Orzo pasta Use for perfect tiny pasta shape
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Good quality adds richness
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 3 cups Vegetable broth Low-sodium

Veggies

  • 1 cup Asparagus tips Tender and slightly crunchy
  • 1 cup Peas Sweet green peas
  • 1 cup Zucchini Thinly sliced

Creamy Lemon Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon zest Freshly zested
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese Grated

Optional Garnishes

  • ¼ cup Fresh basil Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

Cooking Directions

  • Preheat a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil, and swirl until shimmering. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant and golden around the edges.
  • Add orzo to hot pot, stirring constantly for 2 minutes until grains look lightly golden.
  • Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat to low, then simmer uncovered for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in asparagus tips, peas, and zucchini. Cook 3–4 minutes until veggies are tender-crisp and bright green.
  • Zest then squeeze lemon juice into the pot. Stir in heavy cream and warm through for 2–3 minutes until sauce bubbles.
  • Remove pot from heat, sprinkle Parmesan over the orzo, then stir vigorously until the cheese melts into a silky sauce.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper. Let stand off heat for 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
