Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (90/10)
  • 14.5 oz canned petite diced tomatoes (drained)
  • ½ white onion
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • refried beans (store-bought or homemade)
  • tostada shells
  • shredded lettuce (for serving)
  • chopped tomatoes (for serving)
  • shredded cheddar cheese (for serving)
  • chopped onion (for serving)

Instructions
 

  • Warm the refried beans in a small pot over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Add a splash of olive oil to a large skillet. Once hot, add the onions and sauté until tender.
  • Add the ground beef and seasonings and cook until browned and cooked through.
  • Add the drained canned tomatoes and continue cooking until almost all liquid is absorbed.
  • Spread warm refried beans over a tostada shell, layer with ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and other toppings.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
