  • cup flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream or 2% milk if looking to reduce calories
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper or more to taste
  • 3 cups cooked chopped chicken

Optional Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen vegetables thawed and drained (peas or pea and carrots are recommended)

Cooking Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir in flour, add in chicken broth, cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook until thickened.
  • Stir in chicken and optional vegetables if using.
  • Heat through and serve over hot cooked biscuits.
