For the Labneh
- 1 batch Easy Labneh Cheese Prepare this a minimum of 6 hours before serving.
For the Watermelon
- 1 mini Watermelon Prechilled for best taste.
- 6 tablespoons Honey Adjust based on sweetness preference.
- 0.5 teaspoon Chili Powder Add more if you like extra heat.
- 2 tablespoons Lime Juice Reserve some zest for topping.
- 0.5 teaspoon Kosher Salt Adjust to taste.
Preparation
Cut off ½ inch from the stem end of the watermelon; discard any remnants. Place the watermelon upright on the cut end and slice it into roughly 1 ½-inch wide circular slices.
Lay each watermelon slice flat and cut them into 1 ½-inch sticks. Spread the sticks in a single layer on a plate, then sprinkle half of the chili powder, lime juice, and salt over the top. Toss gently to ensure even coverage.
On a large serving platter, spread the prepared labneh cheese evenly across the surface. Drizzle the honey on top of the labneh before layering the dressed watermelon sticks on top.
Sprinkle the reserved lime zest over the watermelon to enhance both its flavor and visual appeal. Serve chilled.
