Chicken Bacon Avocado Wrap

This Chicken Avocado Wrap is quick and delicious, loaded with tender chicken, crispy bacon, fresh avocado, and romaine lettuce in a creamy lemon-basil dressing.

Ingredients
  

Dressing Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise or use plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup milk to thin sauce if needed

Wrap Ingredients

  • 5 large flour tortillas burrito size
  • 2 cups finely shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1 unit avocado diced
  • 8-10 slices cooked bacon chopped (1 cup)
  • 3 cups cooked chicken shredded or chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion thinly sliced

Instructions
 

Dressing Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), dried basil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Use a little milk if needed to thin sauce.

Wrap Filling Preparation

  • In a large bowl, toss together shredded lettuce, avocado, red onion, bacon and chicken.

Combining

  • Add dressing and toss to coat evenly. You may not want to use it all.

Assembling the Wrap

  • Top tortillas with a large spoonful of the filling. Roll-up each wrap and secure with a toothpick if necessary. Enjoy!

Notes

Any cooked chicken will work, like rotisserie chicken, or grilled chicken. Or sub leftover turkey breast. Make the sauce ahead of time. Chop the chicken, bacon, red onion, and lettuce a day or two ahead. Make homemade tortillas ahead of time.
