  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning homemade or store-bought
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt omit if your seasoning blend contains salt
  • cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 whole lemon zest only
  • 3 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil

Cooking Instructions

  • Melt ½ cup unsalted butter in a large skillet over low heat until frothy.
  • Stir in 1 ½ cups heavy cream and 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning; add kosher salt if necessary. Simmer for 5-6 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and mix in lemon zest and 1¾ cups freshly grated parmesan cheese until smooth.
  • Toss cooked pasta into the sauce or serve over grilled fish/steamed vegetables.
